Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales growth across a designated region by managing a network of manufacturers' representatives. This role involves developing strategic plans, fostering strong relationships with representatives, monitoring market trends, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC products, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed regional sales targets.

Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.

Manufacturers' Representative Management:

Recruit, train, and mentor a team of manufacturers' representatives within the region.

Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing support and guidance to representatives.

Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Relationship Building:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and other stakeholders.

Act as the primary point of contact between the company and manufacturers' representatives.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote products and strengthen partnerships.

Product Knowledge and Training:

Stay up-to-date with the latest products, technologies, and industry trends.

Provide product training and technical support to manufacturers' representatives and customers.

Collaborate with the product development team to ensure customer feedback is integrated into new product designs.

Sales Performance Monitoring:

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Implement strategies to address underperformance and capitalize on high-performing representatives.

Ensure alignment with company-wide sales goals and objectives.

Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development.

Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in technical sales or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex technical products.
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%).
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
