Horizons Care Center in Eckert, CO is hiring a fulltime Registered Nurses (RN) for their NIGHT shift (6:00pm-6:30am). Recruitment bonus offered up to $7,000 for full-time, new to the organization employees!

Horizons Care Center is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

RN Job Highlights:

• New Wages! $36.00 - $48.97/hour - depending on experience
• Full-time NIGHT shift (6pm-6:30am); PRN may be considered!
• $3.00 per hour NIGHT shift differential
• Recruitment bonuses up to $7,000 to be paid out over 24 months

Required Qualifications:

• Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification. Maintenance of required CEU's.
• Clinical competence to utilize the nursing process to perform physical and cognitive assessments of residents.
• Good problem solver with abilities to make independent judgments utilizing initiative, discretion and the nursing process as needed.
• Demonstrates leadership ability.
• Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Willingness to follow infection control precautions and regular testing for COVID-19; the vaccination is required per company policy and state healthcare regulations.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in long-term care.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Understanding of current Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention and Infection Control and OSHA guidelines.

Essentials:

• Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit
• Open communication with all staff, customers, guests, residents and families
• Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding monitoring of vital signs, weights, administration of medications and treatments
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy
• Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy
