Salary/Position Classification

• $18.00-20.00 Hourly Depending on Experience hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

The Artificial Intelligence Research (AIR) Center seeks to fill several types of positions, including 4 hourly positions to work on a DoD project that aims to develop and implement the essential methods, algorithms, and distributed computational workflows necessary for integrating computation directly into a platform-agnostic Arctic environment that addresses computationally and data-intensive geospatial problem-solving challenges inherent to Arctic transformation. The applicants can be undergraduate or graduate students from Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely-related field.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to writing reports and papers
• Develop literature reviews
• Assist with data analysis and reporting
• Assist with developing research presentations
• Assist project team members with research productivity

Minimum Requirements

• Pursuing BS, BA in related STEM fields
• Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
