SUMMARY
The Research Psychologist is an entry-level position within the field of research psychology. They typically work under the supervision of more experienced researchers or psychologists and assist in conducting research studies, collecting data, and analyzing results. Research Psychologist positions are often considered as the starting point for individuals beginning their careers in psychological research. The Research Psychologist may also be involved in administrative tasks such as scheduling participants, organizing research materials, or assisting with grant applications in support of USAARL in Fort Novosel, AL.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Master's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Must have a strong foundation in psychological theories, research methods, and statistical analysis techniques.
They should possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow protocols accurately.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities are also important for collaborating with other researchers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting in the design and implementation of research studies or experiments.
Collecting data through surveys, interviews, observations, or experiments.
Organizing and managing research data using appropriate software or tools.
Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of research findings.
Conducting literature reviews to gather relevant information on a specific research topic.
Assisting in the preparation of research reports or scientific papers.
Collaborating with other researchers or team members on research projects.
Adhering to ethical guidelines and regulations in psychological research.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of research procedures and results.
Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychological research through literature review or attending seminars.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
