Our client is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. This role is a unique opportunity to champion and advocate for the agile mindset across the Technology organization. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver, ready to tackle challenges related to agile transformation, such as resistance to change, limited resources, and conflicting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize agile methods in a flexible manner, incorporating traditional project management when necessary
- Understand and implement various agile frameworks, events, and artifacts (i.e., scrum, Kanban)
- Manage and facilitate team ceremonies, including quarterly product planning, product owner syncs, backlog grooming, release planning, sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Foster a continuous improvement environment to build high-performing, agile teams
- Guide product management teams in defining MVPs, developing product charters, product community maps, product roadmaps, and release plans
- Train and mentor other scrum masters, fostering a community of practice for continuous learning and growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Three or more years of experience in Agile technology delivery
- Five or more years of experience in Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) teams
- Three or more years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles, and practices
- Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously
- Comfort with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MURAL
- Experience with distributed teams, in multiple time zones
- Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively with non-technical team members
- A passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and bring new ideas to the table
- Experience with outcomes-based planning and delivery (i.e., OKR)
- Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate to a solution
- Excellent presentation skills
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Experience with Design Sprints and/or Product Discovery tactics
- Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
- Demonstrated technical leadership and direction
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, conflict resolution, budgeting, and time management skills
