Position Summary
A fully remote, seasonal part time position available for those interested in evaluating applications for undergraduate admission as a member of the Seasonal Reader Team. Team members will review applications, calculate GPAs and render admission recommendations that align with the University's enrollment goals and students' potential for success. This position will work 5-10 hours per week on average. Days and times vary; position requires up to 15 hours during peak weeks.
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate applications for undergraduate admission as a member of the Seasonal Reader team; recommend admission decisions using provided resources
- Evaluate high school transcripts, profile, educational coursework, and standardized test scores
- Review recommendation letters
- Review essays to evaluate lived experiences and other provided information
- Evaluate extracurricular activities, leadership skills, and work experiences
- Communicate optimally with admission staff regarding applicants as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to apply critical thinking
- Use of professional judgement to determine applicant's skills and fit within the University
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with technology
- Ability to maintain consistent consideration for each student
- Ability to work independently and manage case load within assigned parameters
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience reading college applications
Physical Activities - Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.

Hourly Rate The hourly rate for the position is $19.00.
