Job Description:

The Senior Business Intelligence Professional supports business decisions through the development and delivery of value-added data and analytics. This requires the understanding of critical business issues and relevant actionable items, from a data perspective. This position supports various business units at all levels in data analytics, including executive management. This involves gathering requirements, drawing insights from data, preparing executive presentations, identifying inefficiencies, and ensuring the data within the solutions is accurate.

The Senior BI Professional provides reports to executives and department leaders that support business decision making, which involves the following:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement BI solutions and related work products
  • Gather and document requirements and product backlog
  • Extract, transform and load data into fact and dimensional data models. Designs and create queries to extract data from multiple source systems and ensures data integrity in the collection and storage process
  • Provides accurate, insightful reporting - specifically reports on pipeline, activities, operational productivity trends and data utilization trends.
  • Interact with multiple units and stakeholders to gather requirements and gain an in-depth understanding of data
  • Highly engaged to deliver reports on schedule and on time
  • Provides oversight of information to troubleshoot reporting issues and unusual trends
  • Performs ad hoc analysis as requested and generates business insights using a wide variety of data sources and BI tools
  • Builds and maintains relationships with users to ensure adoption and buy-in of reporting solutions.
  • Ability to research, analyze and interrogate business processes in order to create KPI's and dashboards that will identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Supports change management

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in mathematics, economics or statistics preferred.
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in Business Intelligence, with advanced visualization development and ETL.
  • Experience enabling and expanding BI capability in medium to large size organizations
  • Excellent visualization design skills
  • Experience creating wireframes and other rapid development techniques required to build functional BI and data solutions
  • Ability to extract data from various systems and databases
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau or BI data performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with SQL database operations as well as extraction, transformation and loading of data required
  • Ability to perform end-to-end quality assurance on BI and data solutions
  • Experience working in an agile or hybrid agile development environment
  • Demonstrated success in effective communication, both verbal and written required., including an ability to communicate effectively with end users and technology partners.
  • A keen eye for visual design best practices and design thinking
  • Ability to complete projects on time and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.
  • Experience with self-service BI environments and capabilities
  • Experience in building, deploying and supportingBI and data solutions
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python a plus
  • ML/AI experience is a plus

Annual Pay Range:
88,200 - 119,000 USD
