We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior Clinical Engineer to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies. We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.

As a Senior Clinical Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating closely with the development teams to ensure successful completion of development initiatives and milestones.
  • Leading definition, investigation, and testing of the robotic system, subsystems, and prototypes, including simulated-use testing, pre-clinical/clinical testing, design validation testing, human factors engineering testing, and user questionnaires and surveys.
  • Generating protocols, procedures, and engineering tests/reports to support formative and summative validation testing at pre-clinical and clinical sites.
  • Analyzing clinical and technical data to support product and prototype development and generate related reports.
  • Applying engineering and scientific principles to advance the effectiveness of clinical procedures and workflow through use of robotics, remote treatment capabilities, and artificial intelligence.
  • Providing technical and clinical guidance to programs from concept to development to FDA submission based on clinical insights and extensive data analysis.
  • Supporting device regulatory submission activities, through use case development/validation and bench simulations.
  • Supporting definition and validation of medical robotic procedures including: Instructions for Use, troubleshooting procedures, and training materials.
  • Additional duties as necessary

Required skills to have for the success of this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical engineering, or related discipline required. Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in medical device development or related experience required
  • A strong understanding and experience of medical device development from the definition stage through validation
  • Experience in generating protocols, procedures, and engineering tests/reports required
  • Understanding of and experience in the clinical/pre-clinical settings preferred. Experience with endovascular technologies preferred
  • Capable of handling multiple high-priority projects at the same time required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present clinical ideas to the engineering team and engineering principals to clinical personnel
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis. Experience with statistical software such as MiniTab or SAS is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to plan, organize, and work independently, with minimal supervision required.
