Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is a global provider of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) services and solutions across multiple industries. We are seeking a Senior Consultant with extensive experience in environmental science, regulation, and litigation support.

As a Senior Consultant, you will use your unique blend of technical expertise and prior experience supporting clients in dispute resolution, litigation, and evaluation of damage claims to provide critical insight to our corporate, insurer, and other clients. This could include expert testimony in deposition and in courtroom settings in environmental matters. This role will require close collaboration with Antea Group team members, attorneys, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.

This is a full-time role with an estimated 25% travel required. This role is remote and the candidate is not required to be located in one of the cities in the U.S. office locations of Antea Group.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Providing consultation to client teams, legal teams, government bodies, and other stakeholders on environmental regulations, risk assessments, and compliance matters.
  • Providing authoritative expert testimony in environmental litigation cases, including depositions and courtroom appearances when necessary.
  • Assisting client and legal teams in case strategy, review of environmental reports, and development of environmental litigation strategies.
  • Conducting and guiding Antea Group teams through research and analysis of environmental data, compliance records, and scientific studies to support legal arguments.
  • Preparing clear, comprehensive expert reports and affidavits summarizing technical findings related to environmental issues.
  • Reviewing and assessing environmental regulations and their impact on compliance, risk, financial reserves and on environmental litigation cases.
  • Working closely with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and clients to address environmental concerns and provide guidance.
  • Guiding Antea Group teams in research, data evaluation, and report drafting.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities and managing legal account relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in environmental science, engineering, consulting, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Toxicology, Ecology, Geology, or a related field is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional, PE, PG, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Experience serving as an expert witness in litigation.
  • Demonstrate an active network of attorney relationships which provide recurring litigation support projects.
  • Experience in environmental remediation, environmental impact assessments, regulatory compliance, hazardous materials, pollution control, fate and transport, or similar areas.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated ability to navigate environmental regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and NEPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in drafting expert reports and presenting findings in a deposition or courtroom setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a litigation environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with teams drawing from Antea Group's national and international team of scientists, engineers and support staff to complete client assignments.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Potential employeesmust be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical(safety-sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:
  • Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work)
  • Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching)
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change)
  • Operation of a motor vehicle

Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
  • Medium to heavy work
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humid, etc.
  • Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward) and climbing
  • Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate and possibly heavy weight objects
  • Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling
  • May be required to wear an air purifying respirator

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
