Position: Senior Manager, Data Science

Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030

Duties: Work closely with the Product Managers, Business Leaders, and Engineering Teams to accurately track and analyze existing and new product initiatives. Analyze clickstream and transactional data to identify and improve the customer experience and journey across platforms. Identify areas of opportunity for product managers using extensive customer research, data science and analysis. Execute sizing, forecasting, and funnel conversion analysis to prioritize product feature launches. Work with product and business teams to understand new product launches and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance. Conduct experiments like A/B testing and causal inference to understand the impact of new messaging, designs, and product features on the member acquisition, engagement, and other performance metrics. Analyze members' benefits usage and engagement behavior data to identify areas of improvement and help drive product roadmap and strategy. Design and implement data pipelines and ETL jobs to create new data tables that can capture more refined parameters that can improve analytics and data science efficiency. Build dashboards and self-serve tools to enable Product Managers and Business Leaders to track the performance of member acquisition, retention, benefits, and engagement metrics. Conduct hypothesis testing and statistical power analysis to guide and execute the analytics and data science strategy for the product analytics team. Execute project management and documentation using Jira and Confluence. This position supervises three employees (1 Staff Data Scientist; and 2 Managers, Advanced Analytics).

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or related field and 5 years of experience in an analytics related field.

Skills required: Experience designing and executing A/B test experiments and Causal inference using SQL and Python. Experience building statistical modeling and correlation tests using Python and SQL. Experience analyzing data using Python and SQL. Experience analyzing clickstream web data using Hive SQL, Big query, and Google Cloud. Experience analyzing customer transactional data using SQL. Experience developing dashboards using Tableau. Experience creating Data Pipelines and ETL Pipelines using SQL, Airflow, and GCP. Experience executing Machine Learning models using R or Python. Experience with project management and documentation using Jira and Confluence. Experience with team and stakeholder management. Experience using Excel, VBA, and Macros.
