Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Social Intelligence and Analytics to lead and implement a comprehensive global social & media intelligence strategy across all digital channels driving an improved, real-time understanding of conversation and coverage relevant to Zoetis, our product brands, and issues that matter to us, as well as audience trends and competitive intelligence. This role requires the ability to turn data into meaningful takeaways and "so what" around business impact; and a willingness to act independently on projects and identify opportunities for optimizations without being directed to do so. The ideal candidate will have a clear view on the strategic value social listening can provide a company; a proven track record managing a social listening program; a deep understanding of the evolving social and media landscape; and a fluency with social listening tools. This is an individual contributor role and does not have direct reports.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy:

Lead, define, create, implement, and manage Zoetis' social intelligence strategy globally in support of business priorities.

Continuously optimize processes and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and impact of social intelligence activities.

Execution & Collaboration:

Execute social listening programs and requests with minimal supervision, including writing and reviewing queries for social listening topics, as well as troubleshoot issues within our tools.

Partner with broader organizational teams to connect social listening with social behavioral data and other analytics such as media monitoring, digital, website, and customer experience.

Data Analysis and Insights:

Balance statistical data with qualitative data to build a credible "so what" narrative.

Identify key trends, sentiments, and patterns that can influence business, communications, and marketing strategy.

Identify actionable insights to inform reputation management, content development, brand planning, market research, and competitive analysis.

Identify growth opportunities in terms of untapped tactics, customer, or cultural connections, and/or the enhancement of the customer experience on social media.

Develop and present social & media intelligence reports by translating listening data into relatable stories for cross-functional audiences.

Develop creative way to visualize the data to help illustrate the narrative.

Tool & Vendor Management:

Help to manage social media tools and technology stack including POVs, vendor relationships, and capability education.

Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in social media and social intelligence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Data Science, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years' experience working in social media intelligence (listening) and analytics roles for a Fortune 500 brand (agency or client experience)
  • Expertise and experience with social listening platforms (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Sprout, Quid Monitor, etc.), including creating dashboards in the platform.
  • Experience with other digital listening tools, such as Meltwater, SEMRush, SimilarWeb, and more
  • Strong strategic understanding of social listening capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data sets into insightful non-technical stories.
  • Comfort interpreting a variety of different data sources from qualitative research to primary survey data to secondary data sources and creating one cohesive story.
  • Working with and creating databases and dashboards utilizing all relevant data to inform decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of all social platforms and current trends
  • Highly collaborative, thrives under pressure and can lead culturally by example.
  • Passionate and curious about social media, the customer, and digital experience
  • Comfortable presenting results and reports to senior leadership and cross functional partners

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with social listening platforms (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Sprout, Quid Monitor, etc.) required.
  • Experience with AllEars (or similar) a PLUS!
  • Experience with SEMRush (or similar) a PLUS!
  • Experience with Meltwater (or similar) a PLUS!
  • Experience with SimilarWeb (or similar) a PLUS!
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics is a PLUS!
  • Proficiency with TapClicks is a PLUS!

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Office position with minimal travel for team meetings; occasional weekend work may be required for unplanned events or crisis comms support.
