Senior Manager is a critical leader in shaping the replenishment platform as an omni channel platform, overseeing everything from participating in defining the business goals and setting a holistic tech platform strategy to planning and executing the strategy to build a highly flexible, scalable and fault tolerant platform. They'll drive impact, improvement, and innovation to create a truly frictionless experience for our customers to shop online or in stores by ensuring the right items are available in the right locations at the right time and in right quantities.

About Team:
EDF is the Walmart's omni replenishment platform that allows our customers to shop the items in stores or online by anticipating the customers' needs ahead of time, by placing the items closer to the customers' location and by bringing in the right quantities into the stores or DCs to avoid going out of stock and all in all reduce the transportation costs. As part of this transformation, we're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive productization from concept to deployment.
Requirements:
- Build, develop and guide high-performing talent for the core engineering team.
- Engage and guide the team technically. Get involved in design and architecture and hands on coding if required.
- Bring in strong platform thinking to the roadmap to build a system that can plan for all channels and all markets with right abstractions and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure high standards of quality.
- Own and support delivery for all the features for the global data engineering and platform
- Monitoring system health and performance through analytics and key metrics - Oversee the development of system metrics and dashboards to monitor site health, providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders to influence the overall direction for the system.
- Operating with excellence - land the fundamentals and help scale best-in-class efficient workflows, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence into everything you do and developing associates on the team to increase capabilities and enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by recruiting, selecting, and developing talent. You'll support mentorship, team development, and succession planning and will implement strategies and initiatives that attract and retain diverse and inclusive talent, embracing diversity in all its forms and actively supporting diversity goal programs.
- Engage with leadership in SV (Sunnyvale), BV (Bentonville) and Bengaluru centers and set up strategy and priorities to maintain the platform.
- Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates who report into you.
Responsibilities:
- An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream - Computer Science preferred.
- 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems
- 3+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 10+ engineers.
- A good understanding of Java and Microservices.
- Hands on experience with Java, SpringBoot, Cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS), Kafka (or other messaging service), Memcached/Redis or any caching technologies, relational DBMS (MySQL, Oracle etc)
- Should be hands on writing/reviewing design & code.
- Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.
- CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of least one cloud-based project - Experience in building extensible platforms, data pipelines are desirable.
- Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
- Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
- Mentoring/coaching Senior staff engineers and other Engineers.
- Focus on reusability, frameworks, patterns, and configurations tools for faster development.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
