We are looking for a Sr Manager, Strategic Licensing and Marketing Partnerships to manage KC global licensing partnership with Disney (and other partners as required) to help embed it as a core commercial capability for KC. In this role, you'll work with global K-C leaders, in our K-C matrixed organization, via global partnership management, strategic negotiations, marketing and contract compliance, as well as ensuring sustainability, capability build, and measuring as appropriate within the global team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Global Partnership Management including

  • Supporting the Strategic Licensing Director in managing the partnership with the global network of stakeholders from Disney, K-C Baby and Family Care to achieve business objectives. Scope consists of 80+ stakeholders

  • Manage quarterly worldwide licensing process - from capturing regional product needs to finalizing amendments

  • Understand K-C and Disney business requirements, brand guardrails and procedures

  • Maintain up-to-date records of licensed intellectual property and key activations per category / region

  • Manage the global community, and liaison with the K-C global Marketing teams, through weekly and monthly cadence

  • Assist in developing the joint Disney Planning

  • Track marketing asset approvals to ensure compliance across all brands

Strategic Negotiation

  • Supporting the Strategic Licensing Director with managing process and global contract negotiations, developing presentations and relevant analysis

  • Manage additional contracts as needed, including Publishing, Parks, Music, Content Sponsorships

Marketing Contract Compliance

  • Establish a process for tracking marketing compliance in partnership with regional and global leads

  • Maintain relevant job aids related to all licensing processes

  • Manage implementation of the Disney Health Check

  • Ensure Marketing understands contractual requirements and work collaboratively across Legal, Marketing, Finance, Functions, and Business Units

Building Capability, Marketing Activation, Measurement

  • Lead or support in the development of training presentations to on-board new Marketing team members to the partnership, activating best practices, contractual requirements, key processes and resources

  • Manage the quarterly cadence of trainings across a variety of licensing topics

  • Manage Disney Activation Scorecards to help ensure adherence to best practices

  • Maintain a database of character effectiveness and Disney Activation best practices, provide insights to the business on demand

This global position will manage the K-C global licensing partnership with Disney, and other partners as required, to help embed as a core commercial capability for KC. The successful candidate must have a track record working with large Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands and licensors, strong interpersonal skills, courageous innovative mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a dynamic cross-organizational environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • BA in Marketing or Business required, MBA preferred

  • Proven licensing and marketing experience in multiple categories and geographies with demonstrated success in managing marking projects and governing licensing agreements within a global matrix organization

  • Strong working knowledge of entertainment properties, licensing agreements management and contract change

  • Solid communication and presentation skills

  • Strategic thinking mindset

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Organizational agility, capable of working in a matrix organization, driving collaboration across businesses and functions and with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated personal credibility and positive energy

  • Enthusiastic, resilient and able to manage stressful situations
