Do you have experience leading and managing a team of senior engineers to design, develop, and administer large-scale virtual desktop solutions? The Sr. Manager, Systems and Infrastructure Engineering - VDI Leader is a people leader position that focuses on the development and execution of our virtual endpoint technology strategy. Strong knowledge of traditional on-premise infrastructure (network, compute, storage, and security) as well as Azure and Google infrastructure as a service is necessary to be successful in this role. Our virtual desktop technologies consist of Citrix, Omnissa (VMware) Horizon, and Microsoft AVD. This role will partner closely with the teams Product Owner, Technical Expert, and Scrum Master to deliver work in two-week sprints. Our goal is to empower our associate's productivity through our endpoint computing solutions while growing the adoption of our virtual desktop and application portfolio across the global enterprise. You will sweep us off our feet if:
- You have extensive experience with VDI technologies, mainly Azure Virtual Desktop and Omnissa (VMware) Horizon.
- You have a strong knowledge of traditional on-prem infrastructure and cloud-based infrastructure as a services.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in DevOps, Agile, and Scrum methodologies to streamline development processes, enhance productivity, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, establish technical specifications, and allocate resources effectively.
- Drive initiatives to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of virtual desktop and server infrastructure, while ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making and maintain our competitive edge in the market.
- Drive the vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives. You are also able to effectively articulate the vision and strategy to our stakeholders and team members to ensure understanding, alignment, and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team, ensuring that team members are equipped with the skills and expertise needed to excel in their roles.
- Serve as a servant leader and mentor to senior engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to facilitate their growth and success.
- You can manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, coaching and development, and performance evaluation
Qualifications:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles, with a focus on developing and managing large-scale virtual desktop and server technologies.
- Extensive expertise in VMware and Azure technologies, including hands-on experience with deployment, configuration, and optimization of complex infrastructure solutions.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices, tools, and principles, with a demonstrated track record of implementing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
- Thorough understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience leading senior-level engineering teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor senior engineers to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
