The Senior Treasury Manager will be responsible for supporting Capital Markets and global Pension activities, which include Mosaic's capital structure and shareholder distributions, leasing and other global financing activities, compliance with debt agreements and oversight of DB and DC pension plans in the US, Canada and Brazil. This position will interface with financial advisors, banks, rating agencies, and financial service providers and be an advocate for continuous improvement across the treasury and broader finance organization.

What will you do?

Capital Markets - Participate in and/or lead assigned portions of the enterprise-wide recommendations on Mosaic's capital structure and shareholder distributions in line with philosophy. Ensure proper liquidity, monitor debt and equity markets and recommend funding mechanisms, taking into account Mosaic's cash position in international subsidiaries. Recommend changes in overall liabilities, including mix of floating and fixed rate debt, types of instruments used, tenor, etc. Support negotiations of credit facilities, bond indentures and other funding agreements. Provide leadership on year-end and quarter-end activities related to Capital Markets, including debt compliance, SOX processes and financial reporting.

Pension - Collaborate with consultants and provide support for meetings with the Global Pension Investment Committee by recommending topics for discussion and researching and making recommendations on key decisions. The scope includes DB and DC plans in the US, Canada and Brazil. Analyze and propose changes in (a) the various DB plans' strategies and/or allocation, (b) levels of contributions made to DB plans, (c) potential replacement of funds available in various DC plans, (d) improvements on the design of the DC plans, and others on an as-needed basis. Provide leadership on year-end and quarter-end activities related to pensions.

Financial Risk Management - Manage financial risk associated with currencies, rates and commodities

Relationship Management - Interact and support relationships with key external providers, including credit banks, investment banks, rating agencies, leasing companies, investment advisors and consultants. This involves daily interactions and negotiations and frequent preparation of board level presentations.

Team Leadership - Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members. Provide daily work direction, manage workload and evaluate resource requirements.

Leasing - Manage and supervise the lease finance activities for Mosaic. Set up processes for evaluating lease proposals. Negotiate master lease agreements and coordinate with other functional and operating areas internally the process to manage future leasing needs. Take the lead in complex and strategic leasing decisions.

Project Support: Support Tax and other departments on projects on an as-needed basis. Initiate and support cost reducing efforts including vendor reviews, improved processes and in-house training in support of Corporate objectives.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the areas of treasury, banking or corporate finance
  • Experience with financing agreements and covenant compliance
  • Experience with capital markets activities
  • Strong belief and experience with continuous improvement and change management
  • Experience of public debt issuances and bank financings preferred
  • Experience of working in a multinational organization preferred
  • People leadership experience preferred
  • CFA or CTP preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization
