Volt is immediately hiring for Software Engineer in Richardson, TX.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object-Oriented architecture.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
- The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
This is a
Full-time 12-month contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance Required Skills - Typically requires a bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Software development experience using Java.
- Experience with Agile or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).
- Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies.
- An active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with building automated tests.
Education: - Typically requires a bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Pay Rate: $60-$65 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
