Description: Our client is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher for grade levels 9-12!
Job Description:
Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Media, PA 19063
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:15am-2:45pm (Full-Time)
Type: Open-Ended Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Offer continuous emotional support to students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Educate students in grades 9-12 across various subjects.
- Address and manage classroom behavior.
- Work with support staff to ensure effective classroom management.
- Special Education certification
- Bachelor's Degree minimum
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with behavior management
- Ability to teach multiple subjects
- PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 2 years)
- FBI Criminal Background Check and Fingerprints (within 2 years)
- PA Criminal History Check (within 2 years)
- TB Test (within 3 months)
- Physical or documentation authorized to work (within 1 year)
- Mandated Reporter Training Certification (within 4-5 years)
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 182)
- Completed Act 168
