Job Summary
Altus Group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our unclaimed property team in our Hunt Valley office (Remote work available). You will be reporting to the manager(s) and director. In this position, you will be handling bigger clients, independent analysis and work completion. You will manage projects through delegation of duties to consultants and analysts while completing analysis independently on larger projects working directly with management. The senior consultant is also responsible for the training of new staff on concepts and procedures and may assist in process development and thought leadership to ensure the best practices within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently analyze data pertaining to unclaimed property consulting matters including but not limited to, liability assessments, state voluntary disclosures, audit defense and/or asset recovery
Effectively implement assigned project duties, including administration of client engagements.
Providing instruction & training to others.
Corresponding with state administrators & clients to gain information and/or explain our methodologies
Reviewing work completed by analysts & other consultants
Knowledge sharing and professional education
Gather and review data necessary to meet project requirements
Research of unclaimed property statutes, industries, specific property types and/or jurisdiction requirements
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred, but not required)
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in unclaimed property compliance
Highly proficient level Excel, Word and Adobe skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast paced, high volume work environment
Proactive and organized to meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to contribute both independently and as a team member
