CCI General Contractors, LLC is currently seeking an experienced, technically proficient, Federal Market Sr. Project/Construction Manager with a belief in teamwork. Candidates must have knowledge about every stage of the construction process from scope development to project closeout. Typical projects are both design build and bid build projects typically ranging from $10M - $100M. Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for obtaining, planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising construction to ensure an on-time, on-budget project execution with high quality and no safety issues.

The initial project is located at in Cleveland, OH at the US Coast Guard Station and is ~$15M+/ Design / Build subsurface steam and condensate line replacement project. The Sr. Project Manager would be working with an onsite team consisting of multiple field managers including an QCM, SSHO, and Superintendent. Ability to work as a team is paramount. Marine waterfront experience including pile driving, sheet pilings, concrete bulkheads, floating docs, fender systems, shore ties, and marine fuel distribution is required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing designer of record during design phase to ensure design is in accordance with budget (and plans and specs)
  • Manage project from award through closeout
  • Handle any issues that arise resulting from unforeseen conditions
  • Effectively manage and build teamwork within project execution team
  • Manage subcontractors through project completion
  • Coordinate with Quality Control and Safety representatives
  • Direct project activities to ensure conformance to project budget, plans, specs, and schedule
  • Forecast project cash flow in relation to project schedule
  • Track financial performance of projects
  • Prepare project reports for management and clients
  • Interface with Client
  • Maintain our excellent reputation
  • Manage overall project team activities
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Bachelor degree from a four year college or university in engineering, construction or a related field preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of Federal heavy civil large D/B construction projects
  • Management of Design Build and Bid Build projects
  • Ability to help decipher and solve technical issues relating to construction
  • Strong customer service ability
  • Skilled in conflict resolution
  • Good understanding of legal processes
  • Able to maintain morale within group and foster an environment of strong team spirit
  • Cost consciousness and focus on quality
  • Understanding of Business implications and decisions
  • Knowledge of Market and competition
  • Ability to assist with strategic planning
  • Excellent written, oral, and computer skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically and creatively, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Environment

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
