Test Technician

Tallahassee, FL

Contract Position

$22.00/Hour

Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and test production hardware, including circuit cards, electrical boxes, harnesses, and electro-mechanical components.
• Conduct routine testing of hardware at the box and circuit card level using automated and semi-automated bench-top equipment.
• Assist Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams in identifying and resolving production yield issues and investigating customer complaints.
• Perform hand-check testing using appropriate measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Document results of troubleshooting, testing, and investigations to comply with Quality and Manufacturing system requirements.
• Collaborate with Test Engineering to troubleshoot test station issues and write documentation for non-functioning equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics to troubleshoot and repair production hardware.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology (ASEET) or equivalent. Relevant military training or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers.
  • Computer literacy, with familiarity in MS Word, Excel, and email applications.
  • Experience with DITMCO and VXI is a plus.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends.
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and protective footwear.
