The Backbone software engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer III (Front-End) to join the team and harmonize with the existing enthusiastic and talented associates to deliver a great site experience that scales to billions of queries for millions of products. About Team:Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites

What you'll do:

As a Software Engineer III, you will set the tone of engineering-excellence and drive processes and standards within the team. You will design of complex software changes and take on the development of exciting new features. In addition, you will partner with your senior and junior teammates throughout the software development lifecycle to cultivate a reciprocal learning environment from development to debugging and operational excellence.

What you'll bring:

* 2+ years of experience building highly scalable, high performance, responsive front end applications
* Profic in using the follow technologies to build modern web experiences: Javascript, Typescript, Node, React, NextJS
* Experience operating software running on a containerized platform (Docker, Kubernetes, etc..)
* Experience with unit testing and functional automation frameworks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can communicate effectively in both independent and team environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
