SUMMARY

Responsible for shipping finished goods and other items to customers and end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Pulls shipping decks and process delivery to fulfill shipment for either bulk wire and cable or assemblies.
* Enters and ships orders in customer portals as necessary.
* Ensures all orders to customers are prepared and shipped properly, i.e., boxes and reels are labeled correctly, checklist is completed, part number is correct, footage shipped is correct, mode of shipment and destinations are correct.
* Assures that paperwork to accompany shipment is correct, i.e., packing lists, certs, test reports, bills of lading and paperwork that is to be distributed to sales, accounting, and production control.
* Process deliveries through ShipERP as well as manually in carrier determined domains.
* Band and wrap pallets ensuring safe and secure shipments.
* Physically load trucks as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned and maintains work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat and orderly condition.
* Reports any problems or difficulties to the supervisor and obeys safety rules.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Mathematical skills - Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills, using all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Successfully pass application mathematics examination.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner to protect oneself, others, products, materials, and other company assets from harm.
* Operates with a high degree of integrity in the performance of duties to foster good working relationships, develop a spirit of teamwork, and accomplish job goals.
* Must be able to detect and respond to audible or visual alarms for building evacuation and shelter-in-place and moving equipment.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

* High school diploma or equivalent required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
* Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 2000 pounds with mechanical lifts. Must be able to work at heights; work around or with moving machinery; operate mobile equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Amphenol CIT is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toed shoes
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
* Hearing protection, in specific locations
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
