SHIFT SCHEDULE
A Shift Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm**
NEW HIRE SIGN-ON Bonus: $3,000.00 sign-on bonus paid out $500.00 at 30 days. $1,000.00 paid out at 90 days and $1,500.00 paid out at 6 months.
SUMMARY
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
Repairs electrical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to trouble shoot and repair all process and supportive equipment, buildings, and grounds. Must know lockout/tag out and hot work permits procedures.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid state driver's license or the ability to obtain one. Maintain an updated forklift drivers license (renewable every two years).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Be able to work long hours, climb stairs and ladders, and tow a water hose.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
